If the yellowing leaves are scattered throughout the shrub and are on the inner parts of the branches, it's a normal and natural cycle. The plant is dropping its oldest leaves in favor of producing healthy new leaves. If the entire shrub is turning yellow, it's not normal and natural and can indicate water stress or a need for iron. Good luck with your hibiscus!
