My pumpkin plants are taking over my garden. Can I cut them back and still get pumpkins. I have never grown pumpkins before and am excited about having my own pumpkin patch.

Pumpkin vines will sprawl all over, if you let them. You can pinch out the growing tips of each vine to stop their progress, and the fruits that are developing will continue to develop. If you pinch back the vines, no more new blossoms will develop so don't pinch it back so far that you eliminate all the pumpkins! Enjoy your pumpkin patch.
