Hi! Someone at HomeDepot suggested that an Azalea would do great in the sun. However, I read the tag and it looks like it's a plant that likes only morning sun. I'm going to exchange the plants tomorrow, but now I need a new idea for a plant. I want something that is similar to an Azalea's size and appearance (nice looking even when it's not flowering) but something that likes sun.

You might consider Raphiolepis umbellata (Yeddo Hawthorn), which grows 4-5' high and wide, or spirea thunbergii (Thunberg Spirea) which has attractive flower in the summer and also grows about 4' tall and wide. Both are graceful, attractive shrubs.
