Fall is the best time to reseed or overseed your lawn. That's when the grass can establish a good root system without being stressed by the hot weather. You can simply rake the bare or dead areas and broadcast bermuda seed or a mixture of bermuda and kentucky bluegrass (or whatever grass seed mixtures are locally available). Best wishes with your lawn!
