The Q&A Archives: transplanting loquat tree

Question: can u tell me the best time to transplant loquat tree? do i put anything on it and when? thanks

Answer: I'd wait until cooler weather - late fall or early winter - to transplant the loquat. Dig your hole and rough up the sides and bottom of the hole, set the tree in the hole and backfill with the soil you took out of the hole. Tamp the soil down and then water it deeply once each week. It should establish itself in a few weeks and you should see new growth. Best wishes with your landscape.
