I'm ready to take my summer garden to fall. I have 40 sq. feet of raised bed. What should I do to get it ready for fall veggie planting?

Start by amending the soil with organic matter. I spread 2-3 inches of compost, peat moss, shredded leaves, etc. over the top of the bed and dig it in to a depth of 8-10 inches. Rake the soil level and plant. In August you can sow seeds of beans, bok choy, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, cucumbers, leaf lettuces and green onions. Hope you have a great harvest!
