I wish there were an easy solution, but anything you use to eliminate the weeds could affect your junipers. Hand pulling is the best solution, cutting down the poison oak and painting the cut stubs with a brush killer (such as Round Up or Brush B Gon) is a second option. The herbicide will travel down and kill the roots, especially with repeat applications, but it can damage your junipers so you'll need to use caution with it. Wish there were a better way!
