The Q&A Archives: Aeration

Question: What is the best time of year to aerate lawn in Midwest? Spring or Fall?

Answer: You can aerate in either spring or fall. If you plan on reseeding after aerating, fall is great because the cooler weather will encourage strong root growth. Either time is fine, though.
