There's no preventative spray for mushrooms. Mushrooms can indicate overly wet soil conditions, poor drainage, or something underground that's decomposing. Sometimes old tree roots or construction debris can be what's causing mushrooms to sprout in lawns and garden beds. The best defense for your lawn is to fertilize regularly, mow as often as necessary to keep the lawn about 2 - 2 1/2" tall, and water deeply once each week to encourage deep roots. Mushrooms in garden beds should be raked up and removed before they're able to disburse spores all over the ground. Eventually you'll control the population if you remove mushrooms as soon as they emerge. Good luck with your landscape!
