| I think what you did was just fine. The important thing is that the tissues make contact so they can knit together. Only time will tell whether or not the splint will help the branch maintain good health. If it doesn't look good or leaf out next spring, you'll want to prune away the dead part. I hope it knits together in a hurry! |
