I have been asked to put together a palm garden in an area 45'x 80'. in the center is a water feature they plan on filling in with dirt aprox. 20'x30' concrete. i need help in with a layout that will incorporate foxtail palms,christmas palms and the rest is up to me. it in a 55+ community so i would like color,ambiance,seating and truely have no idea where to start. thank you, valerie

I really wish I could help you put together a beautiful design, but this forum doesn't allow the space. I can only suggest that you start with some graph paper so you can sketch things out, and do a little research on the palms you'd like to incorporate. Once you have notes on their mature height and width you'll be able to place them in your garden so they have enough room to grow without overcrowding. Most plants look best when grouped in odd numbers (3,5,7, etc.) And, there are lots of plants that will compliment the palms once you've installed them in your garden. Wish I could offer more suggestions!
