Our daylilies, which are in various parts of the yard, have mostly stopped blooming, while others in the area are still going strong. At the same time, the leaves are a little, only a little though, yellow/brown in spots. What could the problem be?

Daylilies have beautiful flowers, but an unfortunately short season. They really only put on a show for 2-3 weeks during the season. If some of your plants are continuing to bloom it's probably because they began blooming a little later than the rest. It's also natural for the leaves to begin to yellow after bloom. In the fall months be sure to cut away and remove all the withered leaves from your daylily plants - just a precaution to keep insect eggs and disease pathogens from overwintering near your plants.
