My garden with tomato and zucchini plants has gone out of control. The tomato plants are late in producing ripe tomatoes. There are lots of tomatoes. My big problem is zucchini plants have huge leaves but are producing no fruit maybe 3 or 4 a few week ago. The leaves are 2 feet aroung. I broke them back about a month ago - was that wrong?

Inadequate sunshine and/or too much fertilizer can make your plants grow lush and green but keep them from flowering and fruiting. If you have very fertile soil you may not need to feed your plants at all during the growing season. Tomatoes and squash need at least 8 hours of direct sunshine each day. Hope this provides some guidance!
