My lawn doesn't look so good. In particular, I have some kind of grass (VERY THICK AND DARK GREEN) growing in with my regular grass. What is it? How do I get rid of it?... it's getting out of control. Help!!

I wish there were an easy solution but controlling grassy weeds in a lawn is difficult. Herbicides don't know which plants are weeds and which are desireable grasses. Your best method of control is to dig out the weedy patches and overseed the bare areas. Then, in the spring, apply a pre-emergent herbicide to keep the weed seeds from sprouting. This will help keep your turfgrass weed free. A thick and healthy turf will crowd out weeds so be sure to water, mow and fertilize regularly so your turf grows thick and lush. Good luck with your lawn!
