The Q&A Archives: strawberries

Question: can you tell me if strawberry plants are a perrenial or annual? my plants are not producing anymore strawberries so i dont know if i should remove the plant from the planter or not. thank you. Carolyne

Answer: Strawberries are perennials plants. Some are June bearing and others are everbearing, meaning they develop flowers and fruit all summer long. You may have a June bearing type which means you'll get flowers in the spring and fruit in June. I'd leave the plant in the planter and wait to see what it does next year. Enjoy!
