Answer: If the grasses die out in the summer months, they are probably cool season grasses. They will green up as the weather cools, but your warm season grasses will begin to go dormant so you may always have some green and some brown lawn. Since herbicides cannot distinguish between good grass and bad grass, you may need to dig these grassy weeds out of your lawn.
