| Since weed and feed contains fertilizer you won't really need to use both weed and feed and then fertilizer. However, weed and feed does contain some pre emergent which will keep grass seeds from sprouting. So the best advice I can give is to seed your lawn now, wait until you've mowed it three times, and then apply the weed and feed. This is all the fertilizer you will need to apply until next spring.
