Tropical hibiscus (the kind with shiny leaves) is hardy down to about 35F degrees. If your garden remains above freezing all winter, your plant should be fine. Hardy hibiscus (dull green leaves) is frost hardy and will survive freezing weather. Hibiscus can be pruned back in the springtime to encourage healthy new flowering stems. Enjoy!
