The Q&A Archives: Tomato Plants

Question: Are all tomato plants annuals?

Answer: Tomato plants are actually perennials but in most of the U.S. the temperatures get cold and the plants die in the fall or winter months. In Florida you have a good chance of keeping a tomato plant alive for two or three years. After that time it gets rangy and non-productive and should be replaced.
