| Your corn plant is Dracaena Fragrans. These are low light plants that offer height, while remaining narrow. Plants are usually sold with canes grouped in a pot varying in height. At the top of the canes green foliage emerges, which looks like a corn stalk. The foliage varies in color from solid green to light green, with green stripes. Corn plants should be watered thoroughly and then the top of the soil should be allowed to dry out. If you keep the potting soil too moist, the tips of the foliage will turn brown. You can feed your corn plant with a half strength dilution of water soluable fertilizer every 4 weeks during the spring and summer months when it ia actively growing.
