My strawberries grew very small in a pot. What happened?

It may be that your strawberry plants need more root room (larger pot), more sunshine, some fertilizer, or more water. Strawberries normally grow lush over the summer months and send out runners. If yours is not doing well, move it to a larger pot, give it more sunshine, water often enough to keep the soil moist but not soggy wet, and feed it with a half strength dilution of water soluable fertilizer. I use Miracle Gro or Peter's for my plants in containers, feeding every 3-4 weeks during the growing season. Give this a try and I think you will see an improvement.
