Your zip code puts you in USDA zone 7 which is too cold for an oleander to remain outdoors. The oleander can be brought in to a sunny but cool room, between 55 and 60 degrees. Cut back on watering (it will use less since it will more or less stop growing due to the reduced light) but it will remain alive. Acclimate it gradually to being outside once the weather is settled next spring. Good luck with your plants.
