When a flower dies, cut it off along with the stem, down to a pair of leaves. It's a little late in the season for more flowers to develop so don't be disappointed if none do. Your hydrangea will spend most of its energy re-establishing its root system over the next few weeks. It should be well established by this fall and should grow and bloom nicely for you next spring and summer. Enjoy!
