My morning glories that I grew from seeds gre nicely as vines but never flowered. Why?I planted moon flower at the same time and they are just starting to flower this last week. Both have been outside since late May Same with my clematis vine.Great foliage but no flower. Is it the wet weather? |
Clematis can take several years to become established before they will flower. Just exercise some patience with your plant and it will eventually reward you with flowers. When starting seeds of morning glories and moon flowers, nick the seed coats and soak the seeds overnight before planting. This will help them absorb water and sprout up to 3 weeks sooner than if you simply place the seeds in the ground. With earlier sprouting you'll get flowers much earlier in the season. Enjoy your garden! |
