Answer: Clematis can take several years to become established before they will flower. Just exercise some patience with your plant and it will eventually reward you with flowers. When starting seeds of morning glories and moon flowers, nick the seed coats and soak the seeds overnight before planting. This will help them absorb water and sprout up to 3 weeks sooner than if you simply place the seeds in the ground. With earlier sprouting you'll get flowers much earlier in the season.
