I just built a pergola in my back yard and I am wanting to plant passion flower vines next to each post. Should I wait for spring? My backyard only has grass growing in it at this. Any suggestions on what else I could plant this time of year? Thank you for any input! Beginning gardener!

You can plant passion flower vines now. They'll take several weeks to establish themselves but they should be ready to grow nicely for you next spring. Some fall color might include chyrsanthemums, snapdragons, pansies, primroses, and ornamental kale. Enjoy your garden!
