The Q&A Archives: Mums

Question: When is the best time to plant mums and what kind of mums do good outside ?

Answer: Chrysanthemums can be planted in September and as long as they are labeled hardy mums or garden mums, they will be perennial in your garden. Stay away from florist's mums or those you find indoors in garden centers. These are quite tender and will die with the first frost of the season. Enjoy your new hardy mums!
