| Some of the Argentine Bahia grass we have is turning yellow. It seems to be more yellow where the water stands longer. What can we do to get the grass green again. |
| Yellowing bahai is almost always due to overwatering, or to soggy soils. If your soil is not draining well you may want to consider aerating your lawn. You can rent a core aerator which removes one-inch by 3-inch long plugs from the soil. After aerating, spread a thin layer of sand or compost over the lawn and water it in well. Leave the plugs on the lawn and they will dissolve with rain or water from the hose. The sand or compost, along with the soil from the plugs will work its way into the holes left by the plugs and help your ground drain faster. Best wishes with your lawn. |
