The Q&A Archives: Lupine Seeds

Question: HELLO! A couple of wks ago I cut the seed pods from my lupine plants- can the seeds be planted now for next year? Should I wait until Spring? I live on Cape Cod - ( Mass.)
Thank you.

Answer: Lupine seeds germinate more readily if they experience a period of cold so I'd sow the seeds now and expect them to sprout next spring. Best wishes with your lupines~
