The Q&A Archives: arborvitae

Question: putting arborvitae in a container instead putting in the ground, what care is needed?

Answer: Some of the smaller arborvitaes are perfectly suited to growing in containers. Use potting soil rather than garden soil, and check for water needs on a daily basis. Plants in containers tend to need more water than the same plants growing in the ground. Arborvitae grows best in full sunshine. Enjoy your new plants!
