The Q&A Archives: Grapevine Removal

Question: I was wondering if there is a way to permanently remove grapevines. Any help you can give would be appreciated.

Answer: If you keep the vines and leaves cut down, the woody stem and roots will eventually run out of energy and will die. The leaves manufacture food for the roots so you need to keep all of the green parts cut down all of the time for about two years. This technique is one of the safest, most effective ways to eradicate almost any undesired plant.
