Plumeria tends to lose their oldest leaves during the summer months. Most are in the center and lower down on the tree. It's natural and there's usually no cause. The tree has gotten the benefit of the leaves and will continue to grow and put out new leaves as long as the weather is warm. Make sure your plumeria is getting adequate water during these hot months. As long as it is still putting out growth, it's just fine.
