I have a lawn that is about 3500sq ft that has a mixture of centipede and bahia grass in it. I want my lawn to be totally centipede. The middle of my lawn has a big patch of bahia grass ( I would say 1/4 ) which is in the middle of the yard. I want to take out the bahia grass and plant centipede in its place. My question is what would be the best way of doing this?

You can dig the bahia grass out, roots and all, or you can use a post-emergent herbicide to rid the area of bahia. Sethoxydim is the active chemical in Vantage herbicide. It will reduce the amount of Bahia grass and will not damage the centipede lawn. Be sure to read and carefully follow the label directions.
