When the flowers have fully opened, cut them from the shrub, along with 8-10 inches of stem. Hang them upside down to dry in a cool, airy place, out of direct sunshine. The flowers will not retain their color, but will turn a dusty or grayish hue. You can use spray paint to brighten them up when they're fully dry.
