| My carefree mix coleus that I planted this year are outstanding. I planted them in pots and had some at the bottom of walkway coming up steps and others sitting on my porch. The ones on porch growing the best. Is there anyway that you can keep coleus year to year. I have a small home and not enough window space for the natural light. Again by accident I had mums in pots go dormant in my garage last winter and they are giving a beautiful show as I write this email. Would trying the same thing with the coleus work? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you |
| Coleus is an annual so the only way to keep it going is to continually take cuttings to root, and grow them indoors during the fall and winter months. Mums are a different story because they are perennial plants. They will go dormant over the cold winter months and perk right up in the spring. If you decide to take cuttings of your coleus you can root them in water or in potting soil and keep them under a gro-light or in a bright windowsill. Enjoy! |
