I would like to plant daisies and tulips in the fall for next year. I am a first time gardener this year, explain to me exactly what it means plant them before the first frost. THanks, Carolyn |
According to my resources, your first average frost of the season arrives about October 3rd. You'll want to plant your bulbs by mid-September to beat the frost date and still have a couple of weeks to water your garden to help the bulbs and the roots of your daisies settle into the garden before cold weather arrives. Hope this answers your question. |
