The Q&A Archives: Dahlia

Question: My Dahlia are blooming, They bloomed alot when I planted them this spring but I haven't seen a blossum in months. the rabbits ate one and the other 3 are in pots, the folage is good but no flowers

Answer: Dahlias flower best when they are planted in full sunshine. When you prune off the spent flowers they tend to rebloom. And, as the tubers grow in size they have more stored energy and the plants will perform better. So, next year they should bloom even more for you. Enjoy!
