I have a herb garden on my balcony. Everything was perfect. Suddenly, my basil got attacked by little red spider mites which spread to my mint. I regularly spray with Safer insecticidal soap, but the mites are relentless and I'm concerned for my entire herb garden. I've also attempted to use a rubbing alcohol and water. Please help, what can I do?

Spider mites are difficult to control, especially on herbs. Insecticidal soap needs to be sprayed every 4 days for about 2 weeks to get these pests under control. Neem oil can be used on some plants but not on all so read the label to make sure the plants you are growing are listed as safe to use the product on. Wish I had more solutions to share!
