The Q&A Archives: Dieases to my lemon and rose.

Question: my lemon plant has some sticky leaves looks like some insect does that at night time. my roses don't have much leaves although i do get rose very often but plant dose not look healthy i used bayers feed and treat for rose last when i had dark spots on leaves.

Answer: Sticky leaves usually indicates insect feeding. Scale insects, mealy bugs, and aphids can all feed on lemon leaves. When they feed they excrete a sticky substance called honeydew. So, control the insect pests and the leaves won't be sticky. Try insecticidal soap for control. Good luck with your lemon tree.
