Is it okay to cut back daylilies in flower bed that are part green and brown in order to clean up looks of flower bed?

As long as the leaves are green they are manufacturing carbohydrates for the roots so I'd leave the green ones alone and just cut down the spent flower stalks and the brown leaves. Enjoy your garden!
