My petunias seems lifeliess and the leaves are truning brown? are they dying out as we approach fall or is something wrong?

It is the end of the season for petunias. They thrive in hot sunshine and begin to decline when the weather cools, especially if nighttime temperatures begin to get cold. I don't think you can revive your plants so why not pull them out and replace them with a cool season annual? Pansies, snapdragons, primroses and ornamental cabbage are all nice choices for fall color. Enjoy your garden.
