The Q&A Archives: pruning

Question: when is it time to prune a satauma, and how far should i cut it back

Answer: Satsuma growth usually begins in February or March so you'll want to prune then, or just before. You can safely remove up to 18" of length from the branches to make it more compact. It should still flower and produce fruit without problem. Best wishes with your tree!
