You can take your hydrangea indoors over the winter months or you can sink the pot into the garden to help protect the roots. Plants in pots can suffer root damage if the soil and roots freeze so protecting them by sinking the pot into the ground in a protected spot such as near the foundation of your home should help avoid this kind of damage. Enjoy your hydrangea.
