I live in Minnesota. I have sucessfully split many of my hostas in the Spring. Can I safely do it in the Fall? Will they survive the Winter? Thank you!

Spring is the best time but you can dig and divide them now. They will take a few weeks to adjust to their new places in the garden and then will go into dormancy. Next spring they will be established and ready to grow for you. Best wishes with your garden.
