The Q&A Archives: pruning

Question: when do I prune Rhodadendren

Answer: Rhododendrons spend the summer months developing flower buds for the following spring's flower display so it is best to prune your rhodies in the late spring, just when they finish blooming. If you prune now, you'll lose next year's flowers. I'd wait until next spring.
