The Q&A Archives: mums

Question: are these perennials?

Answer: Garden mums are perennial plants. They will die down to ground level in freezing weather but new stems will emerge in the spring. You can cut away any dead stems and you can cover the crown of the plant with organic mulch once the tops die down.
