The Q&A Archives: trees dying

Question: manny of my large oak maple etc.50/60 ft trees r dropping limbs like crazy/state came said not J/beetle/please help ME save my trees!!!!!!

Answer: Wish I could offer some assistance but without being able to see the trees, I'm at a loss. Beetle damage is the most common cause of dead limbs and branches, but drought stress, root rot or even a disease can cause similar symptoms. If the trees are valuable you may need to hire a certified arborist to make an onsite visit and diagnose the problem. Wish I could offer more help. Hope your trees make it!
