I'm getting a awning put on the front of my house. I want to put shrubs on the front of the lining of the top of the lawn. I was looking at the Emerald Green Arborvitae. When do I plant these. What season is best? I want to plant the shrubs for privacy.

Emerald Green Arborvitae is one of the most popular selections for a privacy screen. These are attractive, low maintenance shrubs and they are very attractive. You can plant them now. They will have about 6 weeks to settle in before they go into dormancy (usually in November). If you miss the fall planting window of opportunity, plant them in the spring. Best wishes with your new arborvitae!
