The Q&A Archives: Slugs have made their home in my Hostas.

Question: I'm not kidding, there are so many holes in my plants you can see more light than green leaf. I'm brokenhearted. I love Hostas. The only place I can have them is full morning sun. Should I dig them up and discard them?

Answer: Don't dig them up! Instead, try a slug bait in and around your hostas. There's an iron based product called Sluggo that works like a charm in my garden. It is harmless to wildlife, people and pets but does an excellent job controlling slugs and snails. Give it a try. I think it will work for you.
