| Hydrangeas bloom best with a few hours of morning sun so if yours are in full shade, that might account for their not blooming. Hydrangeas bloom on new growth and some bloom only on new growth that emerges from old wood. If your hydrangeas regularly freeze down to ground level there will be no old wood from which flowering stems can emerge and therefore no flowers. There are some hydrangeas, such as Endless Summer, that bloom on the new growth of the season. You may want to consider replacing your non-blooming hydrangeas with something like Endless Summer.
