I don't know if it is getting too much water, or not enough. Leaves turn crunchy brown. Does this plant need a lot of light? HELP!!

I hope you meant corn plant rather than cork plant! Corn plants will grow in low light to moderate light but not bright light or direct sunshine. The tips of the leaves will turn brown if the humidity is too low, the water has dissolved minerals or if you are overwatering. Try using bottled water on your corn plant. You can set the container on a tray filled gravel in which you keep a half inch of water. As the water evaporates it will increase humidity around the plant. Best wishes with your corn plant.
